OwnPhones: Wireless, Custom-Fit, 3D Printed Earbuds

I know what you are thinking, NOT another Kickstarter campaign! While Kickstarter has it's share of critics and surely there are many projects out there that should never see the light of day, but you can't deny the fact that 3 million people pledged $480 million dollars to Kickstarter projects in 2013. OwnPhones is no exception, which has already received $614,949 of it's $250,000 goal with 9 days yet to go.

OwnPhones is the first 3D Printed wireless, custom fit earbuds utilizing bluetooth technology. Each pair is custom fit and 3D printed to your exact specifications. Users download the mobile app that turns your phone into a 3D scanner, which will take a short video which will then be converted into 3D data and sent to be 3D printed to your specifications.
